Our favorite Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen books are: Some of the books are simpler and more suited for the 3-5 year old range, and some are more complex and may appeal to the 5-8 year old target audience. ![]() Bardhan-Quallen’s case, she loves animals (especially pigs), but otherwise each book is different. With some authors, you can identify immediately that it is their book based on the style of prose, humor, or topic. She then branched into picture books, and has written a range of stories. She began writing non-fiction for children focused on science topics and then biographies of famous Americans. Nikolas was not even in the book for the first part so his relationship with Sara continues to evolve at a slow pace, it makes it all the more exciting (because let's face it, we know that they are going to end up together. Jordan is a kick-ass teenager with a lot of fire, Desmund is the weird recluse yet brilliant Mohiri of the place. There she meets other orphans like her, and some of the new characters are awesome. Sara is now living with the Mohiri where she is training to become a fighter (even though she spent the first book telling Nikolas that she was not a warrior). ![]() It was different, in a good way, we get to meet new characters and to discover new places. ![]() This series continues to be filled with action and intrigue and I would dare say that this book was even better than the first one. ![]() |
